Return Requests Are Not Guaranteed

A successful response only confirms that the request for return was received. It does not mean that funds have been withdrawn from the recipient’s account or returned to your processing account.

The timing and method of repayment are not guaranteed. Funds from the recipient may be returned outside the RTP network, such as by check. Do not treat the original transaction as returned until the return has been confirmed.

Request Instant RTP Funds To Be Returned

To request a return for an Instant RTP transaction, use the following endpoint:

PUT /api/v3/InstantRtpTransactions/companycode/{companyCode}/{uniqueId}/request-return

Note

companyCode and uniqueId are required.

companyCode is the code of the company that is adding the transaction.
